Rhodes: 7-day schedule
Wed, 03/07/2024Visiting the island of Rhodes for a week is an ideal time to see everything you need to see. It offers all kinds of holidays, as it is ideal for relaxing moments on the beach, but also for wandering around the island's historical monuments and archaeological sites.
The following itinerary will help you to know which are the must-see places to see and to organize, ideally, your trip.
Day 1:
Initially, after arriving at your hotel in one of our taxis, you will have the opportunity to settle in and begin your wanderings. First contact with the island is the port of Mandraki. There you will see at the entrance of the harbour the two deer that dominate as well as the windmills, which offer a picture of the past. If the weather permits, a few meters from the center is the famous beach of Rhodes, Elli. An ideal choice to relax and cool off after your trip. Afterwards you can finish your day with a walk around the Medieval town. The huge walls and the imposing castle will overwhelm you. The feeling when you walk through the alleys is truly delightful and will <<take you back in time>>. You can visit the old town for as many days as you want, because one day is never enough to enjoy it.
Day 2:
After getting a feel of the island, you can continue your schedule by visiting the Kallithea Springs. There you will enjoy a combination of architecture, history and relaxation on the beautiful beach. It is an experience that is truly worth experiencing. Afterwards, it is worthwhile to find yourself in Faliraki. A place where it really has everything. It is famous for its evening entertainment, as it is intense and fun until the early hours of the morning. However, if you are not interested in this kind of entertainment, you can relax in some bars, which offer very good quality cocktails.
Day 3:
It's time to find yourself in the famous Lindos. The most famous village of Rhodes, it attracts millions of visitors every year, and not without reason of course. It is worth spending a whole day and enjoy its narrow alleys, climb the Acropolis and see one of the most historic archaeological sites in Greece. During the day you have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful seas of the area, accompanying the carefree sea breeze with a cool drink and a nice meal. You really don't need to visit, anything else that day but remain relaxed, watching the beautiful scenery of Lindos.
4th day:
Rhodes also has a western side. Ancient Kamiros deserves your attention. Its archaeological site takes you back to the archaic era, since its amphitheatrical structure gives you the feeling that various theatrical performances took place there. A few kilometers away, you can taste fresh seafood delicacies, enjoying the sea in front of you. To complete your walk in harmony, it is also worth moving a bit to the mountains of Rhodes, to the village of Emponas, which is located a few kilometers away from there. The village is famous for its wines, as it has many wineries, which produce the best varieties of Greek wines.
Day 5:
The natural landscapes that Rhodes has to offer are many, one of them being the seven springs. It is worth visiting for families with young children by taking a short excursion to this landscape. You will meet many ducks and peacocks, which will create moments of laughter and fun. It has a small tunnel, which is very narrow and cools your feet with water. After crossing it you will end up in a waterfall which is ideal for photography. A few kilometers away is the dry land area. It is worth going there if you want to combine food and sea together. Awesome traditional tavernas, which offer delicious seafood delicacies and create the ultimate Greek summer for every type of visitor.
Day 6:
For your penultimate day on the island, a day trip by boat to one of the two neighboring islands of Rhodes would be ideal. Either Symi or Halki. Both islands are ideal for relaxation and relaxation. Picturesque and rich in history, you will see images that only the small islands of Greece offer. If you choose Symi for your excursion, it is worth visiting the monastery of Panormitis, located a few kilometers south of the island and one of the most miraculous in the entire world.
Day 7:
On your last day on the island, it's worth not really arranging anything.
