Rhodes Island: 4 days itinerary

Rhodes is the largest island of the Dodecanese and is located in Greece, a place with an impressive ancient history, breathtaking landscapes and a culture that is definitely worth exploring. With a rich heritage Rhodes can cater to the requirements of most visitors, an island where one can relax on its long coastline but also reach the mountain tops and admire the endless blue of the Aegean Sea.

Rhodes Island: 4 days itinerary

A proper itinerary for a four-day stay on the island of Rhodes will allow you to discover the highlights of the island, Rhodes Taxi & Limo Services has prepared a detailed guide to ensure you don't miss anything from this beautiful island.

Day One: Historical tour of Rhodes Town.
As a first visit we suggest you begin your adventure from the Palace of the Grand Master a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the castle is located within the historic walls of the Old Town of Rhodes. It is worth crossing the Knights Road which will lead you to the magnificent entrance of the palace, inside the building you can wander among the great halls and admire the exhibitions that adorn this so historic building.
After visiting the palace let yourself free to wander around the small alleys between the walls of the Old Town, admire the old buildings and houses some of which are still inhabited by locals, continue your walk and you will find small traditional souvenir shops, gift stores, taverns with excellent Greek cuisine as well as cafes to enjoy your coffee.   
As the time goes by, we suggest you continue your walk to the port of Mandraki which is very close to the Old Town of Rhodes, enjoy the sunset overlooking the medieval windmills.

Day Two: Exploration of the Acropolis of Lindos.
The second day on the island of Rhodes starts at dawn and it is worth spending the first hours of the day on one of the most famous beaches of the island, if you are looking for sandy beaches then choose between the long coast at Faliraki or the beach at Tsampika, both are excellent with crystal clear waters ideal for sunbathing and endless swimming.
After your swim you can continue your day exploring one of the most picturesque villages of Rhodes, the beautiful Lindos an area that wins over every traveler, on its hill adorned by the Acropolis don't miss the opportunity to climb up and be captivated by the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea as well as the white little houses just below you. After your descent wander through the narrow streets of the village and experience the magical feeling that this picturesque place gives you, there you can enjoy a cocktail in one of the many bars with Roof Garden and be enchanted by the view of the illuminated Acropolis in combination with the coast which is very close to the village square.

Day Τhree: Getting to know the natural landscapes of Rhodes.
Start your day by offering yourself total tranquility in a location that will enchant you, the Valley of the Butterflies is a destination in the dense forest a few kilometers away from the city center. A valley where in the summer months it offers just the right amount of coolness to accommodate countless butterflies that love the tranquility this habitat offers, admire this wonder of nature.
Then head to the Seven Springs another location well hidden among tall plane trees and unique paths leading to natural springs, take a break after your walk at the local café and enjoy a fresh juice.

Day Four: Gastronomic wanderings.
You can't leave the island of Rhodes and not have tasted the local cuisine, so we add culinary exploration to your last day. The island of Rhodes is a place where one can experience the Greek culture in this very hospitable place.
